School school and more school

Sorry I have been away from the computer, but since Jason got here on Friday, we have been really busy catching up with like everything! I actually had a day to myself on Saturday, which was fabulous, and since then hanging out with the boys. Jason started his class on Tuesday. The beginning of our transition to Hawaii has started. I cannot believe that I am really going to Hawaii. I say it, see it in writing, but truly still has not hit me. Him going through this training is the last step closer to paradise! These last few years of Jason going to school has been a bit rough at times, but I know good things lie ahead!
So anyway, speaking of school, I found one for the boys as well. Since the situation with Cade in Jan ( you know the teacher that was out of her mind), I have been VERY selective with my decision this time. I think that this is the one. Ty started this past Tuesday, so he and Jason started the same day. Cade will start on Monday. The boys would have started on the same day, but today Cade had an appointment, and I didn't want to start him, pull him out, then take him back. If it was Ty, he would be fine, but Cade has an adjustment period, and so starting Monday is going to be best. He has been with my to take Ty to school, and voices that he wants to go too, so we shall see.
I will write more tomorrow on Cade's appointment cause it's a big deal, but no time right now, and I really want to write about it! Other than everyone starting school, it is really great having the family together again. It's been a while, so we are enjoying it. I like this area, and it will work for the next 3 months...then aloha!
Thanks to all who check in with my blog from time to time...I appreciate you keeping track..Love to all!

Horray for March!

March the first... I can't belive it! I am really glad that it is here cause that means that my hub gets to move here. We (the fam) have been apart for 9 months. There have been stints that we have been together here and there. He visited for a month in Nov, came for Christmas for a couple of weeks, moved us to SC, and of course in Feb, our world wind tour to Orlando. Still, I have missed him much, and so have my boys. Truth be told (honey you know this) I am ready for some help! Ok so don't get me wrong, I miss and want my hubby with me, so it is really not just the help...really it's not...but, I need some time for me! Anyway, he gets here this Friday the 6th. I already have a full day planned for me, myself and I on Saturday!!! Knitting class, hair appointment, Starbucks, shopping...etc.
Yes I said knitting class. I started yesterday, Saturday, and I will tell you what...harder that I thought. Still, expanding my skills and creativity. It's a four week course, so we shall see...supposedly I will have a scarf or two out of this. I know I know, who need scarfs in Hawaii, well there is such a thing as a summer scarf people! Light, thin and colorfull...quite the accessory...that is my goal anyway. Next I will be taking up sewing..I have plans for these new skills that I am aquiring! Plans Plans Plans! That is all I will say for now. I also have some fantastic jewelry making classes...I am learning to work with wire and sterling silver..so much fun....before you know it I will have my own line of clothes and accessories!
SO here's to the week that will probably go as slow as a snail because Jas will be coming home, but here's to it anyway!
The weather has been nasty so not much going on here as far as activities. I have been making and repairing some jewelry (which I went through my own this am, and wow, I have accumilated some). Busy day tomorrow. Oliver begins th process for Hawaii. Blood work and micro-chip tomorrow, then onto phase 2. More to come on that.
Everything falling into place! It's about DAMN TIME!

The Joys of a Family Vacation

Since we just moved here, and the boys really don't have friends yet, we (jason and me)decided to take the boys to disney world and celebrate their bdays as well as a family vacation since we have been apart for so long...

Our journey began on Wed. Feb. 11th when we headed towards the NE GA Mountains to drop off Jason's vehicle at his parents. We needed to come up with a plan so that we would just have on vehicle on vaca, but we could start and end with two since we would be going back to two seperate home bases. So we spent the night with the in-laws, and we were off Thurs. Feb 12th. We plan to get there and settle in to begin our week long tour. We planned to start our first day on the 13th, Ty's bday.
We got there in about 7 hours...not bad. It was a jump and a skip considering we are no strangers to cross country driving (hehe). The boys did great with game system and toys in hand. Dinner bath and bed was on tap, and we would hit the ground running the next day!

Friday 13th, we got up way to early. The boys could not contain themslves after we told them what we were doing. Up until this point they had no idea. It was a total surprise! So we had breakfast and waited for our shuttle. Jas bought us matching shirts so we were set. We were under the impression that the shttle took us to all disney parks, and we were told wrong. We were dropped off at Epcot, and had to take buses and monorail to other parks...it only took us a bit to realize and find out the 411. We it the Magic Kingdom the first day. The tickets we bought were for 5 days and we could park hop at any time we wanted. It was really a great deal! The day was so fun and Ty had a blast on his special day. We made it in time to take our shuttle back to the hotel so all was good.

Saturday the 14th...happy love day!
My honey started off the day going out and getting me some Starbucks coffee...yum and went and got snacks for the boys. We found out the day before that we could take snacks in the parks. Big savings there. We headed to Epcot iin the am and Hollywood Studios which used to be MGM , but they changed the name in the pm. The highlight of that day was Ty fighting Darth Vader @ hollywood studios. He was chosen to participate in the Jedi Training, and to their surprise the students had to fight the dark side to become official. It was so awesome! Jason and I were so excited for him. I asked him if he was nervous and he said he was not! He's a tough cookie. We spent the rest of the day there, and of course bought souveniers for the boys...star wars stuff for Ty and toy story for Cade.

Sunday 15th...we went to Animal Kingdom. The day was yucky, and we really should have taken a day off cause the boys were exhausted! This was not a day we had a "blast" so to speak. We called it an early day, and all went to bed!

Monday we took the day off and went shopping...the whole fam got some new Nike kicks...fun!

Tuesday 17th we hopped between hollywood studios and magic kingdom....we stayed really late to see lighted parade and fireworks...it was beautiful!!!! Of course I videoed everything. I have 6 dvd's of fun!

Wednesday 18th...My baby's bday...Cade turns 4
We spent that whole day @ hollywood stu. We wanted to ride toy story, see playhouse disney live and talk with al characters. They really have some fab rides and things for the kids...never a dul moment. His fav I think was playing in the "Honey I shrunk the kids" replica of the backyard. We were in grass and we were like the size of ants. I take that back the ants were bigger! I think he had a great day. If you know Cade, he is a boy of very few words! He chooses when and who to talk to. Very selective!

Thursday came and it was time to head back to the mountains. We had a pit stop in Columbus for Jason and Friday we were in the mountains. We had a small bday party with cake, icecream, balloons etc. Lots of sugar you know! As if I didn't have a hard enough time getting them down from their high....

I made it back to SC on Sunday. Glad to be home, but soooo much to catch up on. I will post pics soon.

More to come!

ok...been slacking off!

So, I have been bad! Not kept up like I wanted and should, but really things have been CRAZY!! Yes caps...CRAZY..there I said it again!
Long story short (because the boys are with me..yes I know 11 am and they are not in school)I have been running around, went through two days of crying, Jason came home to try to fix situation, and the boys are still the boys.

As to not get into the story right now, boys are with me at home. We pulled them from the school they were at, and I am looking for another program. I am still learning my way around, but missing my family, friends and hubby! There you have the cliff notes of my past weeks.

We are off on a fam vay-cay next week for the boys bday. They have no idea that we are taking them to Disney World etc. They are gonna freak, and well we all need that fam time, and laughing together!!

More to come when I am not rushed!

OH BY THE WAY..BECOME A FOLLOWER...CHECK IT OUT TO THE RIGHT OF THE PAGE :)

Things going swimmingy!

So the boys have been in school, counting today, for three days. The first day, Wednesday, was a bit rough for Cade (as I knew it would be), but fine for Ty. Cade is my spirited child who is a bit slow to adapt, and very senstive. As far as his strong qualities go, he is persistant, zestful, assertive, perceptive, and very passionate. With that in mind, you can just imagine what his teachers are in for. As for Ty, he made friends. He can't tell me their names just yet, but it's a boy who is "a tall 5" and a pretty girl who has "dark hair and brown eye's" like him. He will fit right in and be teacher's pet for sure. Cade is a man of few words, but I know his day was fine because I get a report home daily.
Today we walked in just fine. I have been droping off Ty first since it is my "easy drop off" and then walk down the hall for Cade. Mr. Potato head was waiting for Cade at his seat. Yesterday was play dough...Cade's other love (besides his trains). The children have to sit in their seats until all kids are in and they begin school. That is a bit challenging for him...he is very energetic! Ty on the other hand...well what can I say he rocks! He is so adaptable and flexible. Those are his strong qualities. He is going to be 5 next month going on 15. He is my big helper. Love my boys!! They are night and day...always keeping me on my toes. I'm not gonna lie to you, it is the hardest job that I have ever had, but it has made me a stronger person!
Today after school we head back up to the mountains. It is my father-in-laws bday, so we are gonna hang out up there. Jason will meet us up there this weekend.
I found a gym, so I will start next week, with possible subbing opps for yoga. Can't take on full time since my stay here is temporary!
Well, off to pack and get ready to go. Gotta get some time in to read my book..oh so juicy! I am reading Twilight, and wow! I have had a hard time putting it down. I am half way through...I am hoping to finish it this weekend since Jason can deal with boys...hehe!
I'll let you know what fun things trasnspire this weekend :)

Living in the South-ish...

So my friends we are finally settled in! We are now in N. Augusta, SC. The house we are renting for the next 5 months is great! The boys share a room and we have a play room for them as well. We were lucky to find a fully furnished place here since our stuff is still in storage. It was a wonderful change to wake up to a yard full of snow. The boys were really excited!! Oliver was not that thrilled! I took some pics...I'll post later...
Jason is back in Columbus and will be coming on the weekends...bummer. He moves here for good in March, and we will stay put until June...whew! What a world wind!
I am comfy for now, and the good news is the boys start school tomorrow. I was able to find spots for them at a preschool 5 days a week half days. The system is really weird here, so I am excited. I looked at 4 schools and liked this one second best. The one I really liked only have 2 days for Cade and 5 for Ty...wanted to keep them together, and everyday...Cade was ready to begin the moment he walked in the door...tomorrow is not coming fast enough for him (truth be told I can't wait myself-I have not had a break since we left Texas at the beginning of the month.
Stay tuned as I learn my way around this place...adventures behind every door!
