Will anyone read this?

WOW! I am writing really not knowing if anyone will read this since I have been MIA for months now. I told myself that I was not going to freak out if I did not make it to my blog, and well you can see, I didn't. The big move came and went, and FB was the easiest way to just jot a quick status line, and be done with it. I really have missed jotting my thoughts and the journey here, but well...moving forward!
So Hawaii is all that it is made out to be. We have been here now going on almost 2 months now(wow time flies). We are not however settled in yet. We did find a house, move in date is Sept 1. If you would have asked me a month ago about hotel living, I would have said that there was no way I could live in hotel for 2 months, but here we are, and one more week to go...yay!
Ty started school, and Cade hanging with me. I will get some good quality time with him...I really never gave him that since we already had Ty. Neither one really know what it is like being "alone". Ty is in the top kindergarten class. He really likes it. The teacher is to be desired, but I guess you can't have everything. According to other parents, she is tops, and really produces when it comes to the kids...we shall see!
Jason is settling in, and figuring things out. He will have a bit of a commute once we move in, but have a great house to come home to. I suspect that we will have many a glasses of wine on the deck overlooking the ocean upon his arrival home. Oliver...well he is a mutt! He is the same, and I know can't wait to go and come as he pleases in the new house. It has a dogie door that he can use at his will. He doesn't know yet, but he will be excited when we introduce it to him!
So I can't promise I will be here daily, especially when we move into our house, but I am going to make a effort in the evening to jot a few thoughts down I suppose...catch you on FB! It's easy and it's one line that I have to type...gotta love it!

What an Aweful Day!

Is anyone still out there reading this?? If not I am writing just to write, and that's OK cause I have not been consistent. So I had the scare of my life yesterday. Oliver was let outside by Cade without me knowing, and he was no where to be found. I looked everywhere for an hour. Of course hysterical, I had a couple of the neighbors looking as well. Ty and Cade were yelling, I was trying to yell on top of my whaling, and two neighbors were yelling and whistling. Oliver typically goes to the front yard, hangs out at the neighbors house, Pat, or stays i the back yard. He really does not wander like he used to. I couldn't understand what had happened??? As I was really loosing it, the neighbor across the street came out and mentioned that another neighbor had picked up a dog here, and placed it in the backyard of a house 5 houses down. WTF?? Why would someone do that?
I marched myself, snot and all, and rang the doorbell. Th lady that answered the door was not very friendly and was not happy that I asked her if she had my dog. Come to find out, she had a dog that looks JUST like O. Hers is a little darker right now, but same dog. As I walked away crying at the thought of never finding my dog, she came out of her house yelling that in fact she did see the dog in the back yard. She apologized, and had not idea that he was even back there. I grabbed him and brought him straight home... What a relief...I don't know what I would have done without my O. He is not going to be out of my sight again!!!! No one is allowed to let him out without my permission! NO ONE!
So after crying for an hour, I had a huge pounding headache, and my face was swollen...I was able to relax with my mutt in lap.
What an ordeal!

On top of that, Jason's hard drive crashed with his whole life on it...what a disaster...to top off a horrible afternoon! Jeez are we being tested.
Now that the craziness is over, we are going to relax this weekend. We have a bday party to go to and Jason leaves for the field on Sunday for a few days...just me and the boys...
I can't believe we leave here in two weeks...AND O IS COMING WITH US!!!

Things Are Falling Into Place!

I am not going to begin to apologize for not jotting my thoughts for awhile, there has just been no time, or to much to say don't know where to begin, or just don't want to, or did I say no time??!!

It's coming down to the wire. This week is/was very busy and hectic! This past weekend (memorial weekend) was used to separate and pack the things that are staying with us, and the stuff that is being packed for Hawaii. We did enjoy ourselves with the Wii, played outside, and ran around in the jeep. The movers came on Tuesday, and we were way over our weight limit...we will have to pay out of pocket for this. Oh well, what can one do? Wednesday, yesterday, we went down to Atlanta to ship the jeep out. That was painless, and actually really fast. The part of driving down to Atlanta to do it, etc, was the busy part. The boys are always really good on road trips. They are so used to traveling and going, that it does not face them anymore. Give them a DVD and things to play with and they are great! We are lucky since we have been traveling a lot in this last year.

Couple more weeks here then it is off on out "Farewell Tour" to TX and beyond.
Here's what it looks like:

June 11-14 DFW
June 14-16 Austin
June 16-23 Laredo
June 23-25 SA
Travel
June 28 CA

whew!!! did you get all of that! WOW..what a tour....lots of energy pills and good tunes to get us through.

More to come!
I can't wait to be back on my stomping grounds!!!

Seriously!

So it has been 3 years now since I have pounded the keys here...so much for swearing to be better. You would think that I would have more time since the boys are in school half days, but the truth is, there is so many other things going on. Also, there are just days I really have nothing to say! Today though, I have so much to say, but just don't want to. I am writing to say that I am still alive and probably on my way to have a drink or two :) I am really trying to process everything, but not doing that well of a job!
Sorry this was a teaser...I hope to be back later this week, but you know how that goes...no promises..I am not keeping them these days! Here's to hoping! CHEERS!!

Weather kills me!

So I am over the whole pity party, and moved on. I have been in the creative mood lately and have been making some fun jewelry! I have learned how to make ring out of sterling silver...LOVE THEM. I have made 3 for me and one as a gift...so 4. All different. Going to be updating sassy style page, so that will keep me busy!
Here are some pics:

I'm taking order :)

Spring break is the happening's here. This whole place shuts down for the Master's. The big Golf gods are here. Practice rounds started yesterday, and the tourna starts Thursday. People around here rent out room in their house and some have homes for this occasion. I know of one lady who has remodeled her whole house off the money she makes off the renters...pool, cabana, landscaping...she makes thousands every year. Now mind you she has a kick ass house to be able to charge, and people have the run of it..wow! I couldn't do it for just strangers...anyway not me so whatever!
So I took Oliver to the beauty shop, and this is what he came back wearing...all about the golf week!

This weather though is NASTY. Sunny one day, rainy the next. Storming one morning, and bright and sunny 3 hours later. This morning a blizzard came in and it's FREEZING. The good thing is, if I go out, I get to wear my scarf that I knitted :)
My pretty pink one. I will have to design an outfit around it!
I was able to wear my Spring scarf on Sunday, ubber cute, ad I MADE IT! thank you very much!
So not many plans this week..play it by ear with this weather...good thing we have a wii to keep me and the boys moving if we can't go outside.
I will say that we are still in prep mode, but we WILL be going to TX for a weeks before shipping out. I am excited about that! 2 months will fly!
OK, so hope all is well with you, and keep in touch!
Here's a recent pic of the boys...they are getting so big!

HOW I am OVERDUE!

I am SOOOOOOO overdue for a post! I just can't get into a good flow with this. It seems like I do, and then I don't know, I just don't. I know that most of you are on FB and we keep up with each other that way, but for those that are not...oops, sorry!
So my bday came and went...whatever another year gone. Jason's bday came and went...movies with the boys...monsters vs aliens 3D. School for the boys...going, and OH, my external hard drive died! I cried for days, and still have not gotten over it! Hard drives stink!!!
And so for me, I'm just hanging out, just being a student and not teaching...it sucks! I really miss it! What can I say..I like telling people what to do!!! (LOL)
I miss my friends, I miss my family, I miss my students...I can go on and on!
Moving SUCKS! I guess this is turning out to be a venting missive...oh read on or not!
Speaking of moving...Hawaii in two months. So much to freaking do, and my head hurts! Dilemma with Oliver moving there, timeline for vehicles being shipped, schedule our stuff in storage to be released (btw will be there 1 year in may), and of course scheduling our flights...make this GO AWAY! I just want to be there and not deal with any of this! I have to keep telling myself that I expand and grow from these "bumps in the road"...but whatever..I DON"T WANT TO GROW RIGHT NOW!! I just want to have a drink a go to bed!
OK so sorry with the "poor Jen" post! I know it has been a while, but this is all I have to say for now!

It's amazing how labels come around

So it's Sunday evening and not much to report from this weekend. The weather was less than desirable, so not much action with the Robinson's. Jason's and Ty's first full week is over with in school, and all is good. Cade begins school tomorrow, and to prepare him, Jason attempted to give him a haircut. Let's just say "torture chamber" and hair everywhere! Cade DOES NOT like to have his haircut. He has sensory issues, and cutting his hair is a big one! End result...good not great, but good. Thanks Honey for taking one for the team!
Speaking of Cade, I wanted to write about my experience and appointment with him on Thursday.
For those of you who have been following, I put the boys in school back in Jan when we first got here, and it did not go well. Cade was immediately labeled Autistic, after only 12 hours of being there, and they felt he needed to be screened. Cade is my spirited child who has a wonderful personality, but will give you a run for your money. He is very goal-oriented, perceptive, and selective in who he associates with. This teacher really was not up for the challenge and in my opinion (coming from a former educator not mommy) she is not qualified, nor could she have taught Cade anything! Anyway, based on that I was a bit concerned, so I went ahead and set up a screening. You know how it is when you know something in just not the case even if someone has said it is the case?? Well, that what it was for me. I knew that Cade was not Autistic, even though he was being labeled. I needed something in writing....proof if you will. So I took him to an initial screening, which in turn was followed up by a secondary screening which took place on Thursday. There was a child psychologist, speech pathologist, and an occupational therapist. Long story short, after two hours of tests, he is NOT autistic! The speech pathologist did bring up speech delay, which was no surprise. I was even the one who brought it up to them to begin with. That I can live with...fixable!
Anyway, I am thrilled that I have my answers, and I wish I could go back and show it to this poor excuse for a teacher, but there is not point! I know my son and what he needs, ad I am really hoping this new school and new teacher will be able to fill those shoes. Cade is really great once he allows you to get to know him!
That's all for now...peace!

School school and more school

Sorry I have been away from the computer, but since Jason got here on Friday, we have been really busy catching up with like everything! I actually had a day to myself on Saturday, which was fabulous, and since then hanging out with the boys. Jason started his class on Tuesday. The beginning of our transition to Hawaii has started. I cannot believe that I am really going to Hawaii. I say it, see it in writing, but truly still has not hit me. Him going through this training is the last step closer to paradise! These last few years of Jason going to school has been a bit rough at times, but I know good things lie ahead!
So anyway, speaking of school, I found one for the boys as well. Since the situation with Cade in Jan ( you know the teacher that was out of her mind), I have been VERY selective with my decision this time. I think that this is the one. Ty started this past Tuesday, so he and Jason started the same day. Cade will start on Monday. The boys would have started on the same day, but today Cade had an appointment, and I didn't want to start him, pull him out, then take him back. If it was Ty, he would be fine, but Cade has an adjustment period, and so starting Monday is going to be best. He has been with my to take Ty to school, and voices that he wants to go too, so we shall see.
I will write more tomorrow on Cade's appointment cause it's a big deal, but no time right now, and I really want to write about it! Other than everyone starting school, it is really great having the family together again. It's been a while, so we are enjoying it. I like this area, and it will work for the next 3 months...then aloha!
Thanks to all who check in with my blog from time to time...I appreciate you keeping track..Love to all!

Horray for March!

March the first... I can't belive it! I am really glad that it is here cause that means that my hub gets to move here. We (the fam) have been apart for 9 months. There have been stints that we have been together here and there. He visited for a month in Nov, came for Christmas for a couple of weeks, moved us to SC, and of course in Feb, our world wind tour to Orlando. Still, I have missed him much, and so have my boys. Truth be told (honey you know this) I am ready for some help! Ok so don't get me wrong, I miss and want my hubby with me, so it is really not just the help...really it's not...but, I need some time for me! Anyway, he gets here this Friday the 6th. I already have a full day planned for me, myself and I on Saturday!!! Knitting class, hair appointment, Starbucks, shopping...etc.
Yes I said knitting class. I started yesterday, Saturday, and I will tell you what...harder that I thought. Still, expanding my skills and creativity. It's a four week course, so we shall see...supposedly I will have a scarf or two out of this. I know I know, who need scarfs in Hawaii, well there is such a thing as a summer scarf people! Light, thin and colorfull...quite the accessory...that is my goal anyway. Next I will be taking up sewing..I have plans for these new skills that I am aquiring! Plans Plans Plans! That is all I will say for now. I also have some fantastic jewelry making classes...I am learning to work with wire and sterling silver..so much fun....before you know it I will have my own line of clothes and accessories!
SO here's to the week that will probably go as slow as a snail because Jas will be coming home, but here's to it anyway!
The weather has been nasty so not much going on here as far as activities. I have been making and repairing some jewelry (which I went through my own this am, and wow, I have accumilated some). Busy day tomorrow. Oliver begins th process for Hawaii. Blood work and micro-chip tomorrow, then onto phase 2. More to come on that.
Everything falling into place! It's about DAMN TIME!

The Joys of a Family Vacation

Since we just moved here, and the boys really don't have friends yet, we (jason and me)decided to take the boys to disney world and celebrate their bdays as well as a family vacation since we have been apart for so long...

Our journey began on Wed. Feb. 11th when we headed towards the NE GA Mountains to drop off Jason's vehicle at his parents. We needed to come up with a plan so that we would just have on vehicle on vaca, but we could start and end with two since we would be going back to two seperate home bases. So we spent the night with the in-laws, and we were off Thurs. Feb 12th. We plan to get there and settle in to begin our week long tour. We planned to start our first day on the 13th, Ty's bday.
We got there in about 7 hours...not bad. It was a jump and a skip considering we are no strangers to cross country driving (hehe). The boys did great with game system and toys in hand. Dinner bath and bed was on tap, and we would hit the ground running the next day!

Friday 13th, we got up way to early. The boys could not contain themslves after we told them what we were doing. Up until this point they had no idea. It was a total surprise! So we had breakfast and waited for our shuttle. Jas bought us matching shirts so we were set. We were under the impression that the shttle took us to all disney parks, and we were told wrong. We were dropped off at Epcot, and had to take buses and monorail to other parks...it only took us a bit to realize and find out the 411. We it the Magic Kingdom the first day. The tickets we bought were for 5 days and we could park hop at any time we wanted. It was really a great deal! The day was so fun and Ty had a blast on his special day. We made it in time to take our shuttle back to the hotel so all was good.

Saturday the 14th...happy love day!
My honey started off the day going out and getting me some Starbucks coffee...yum and went and got snacks for the boys. We found out the day before that we could take snacks in the parks. Big savings there. We headed to Epcot iin the am and Hollywood Studios which used to be MGM , but they changed the name in the pm. The highlight of that day was Ty fighting Darth Vader @ hollywood studios. He was chosen to participate in the Jedi Training, and to their surprise the students had to fight the dark side to become official. It was so awesome! Jason and I were so excited for him. I asked him if he was nervous and he said he was not! He's a tough cookie. We spent the rest of the day there, and of course bought souveniers for the boys...star wars stuff for Ty and toy story for Cade.

Sunday 15th...we went to Animal Kingdom. The day was yucky, and we really should have taken a day off cause the boys were exhausted! This was not a day we had a "blast" so to speak. We called it an early day, and all went to bed!

Monday we took the day off and went shopping...the whole fam got some new Nike kicks...fun!

Tuesday 17th we hopped between hollywood studios and magic kingdom....we stayed really late to see lighted parade and fireworks...it was beautiful!!!! Of course I videoed everything. I have 6 dvd's of fun!

Wednesday 18th...My baby's bday...Cade turns 4
We spent that whole day @ hollywood stu. We wanted to ride toy story, see playhouse disney live and talk with al characters. They really have some fab rides and things for the kids...never a dul moment. His fav I think was playing in the "Honey I shrunk the kids" replica of the backyard. We were in grass and we were like the size of ants. I take that back the ants were bigger! I think he had a great day. If you know Cade, he is a boy of very few words! He chooses when and who to talk to. Very selective!

Thursday came and it was time to head back to the mountains. We had a pit stop in Columbus for Jason and Friday we were in the mountains. We had a small bday party with cake, icecream, balloons etc. Lots of sugar you know! As if I didn't have a hard enough time getting them down from their high....

I made it back to SC on Sunday. Glad to be home, but soooo much to catch up on. I will post pics soon.

More to come!

ok...been slacking off!

So, I have been bad! Not kept up like I wanted and should, but really things have been CRAZY!! Yes caps...CRAZY..there I said it again!
Long story short (because the boys are with me..yes I know 11 am and they are not in school)I have been running around, went through two days of crying, Jason came home to try to fix situation, and the boys are still the boys.

As to not get into the story right now, boys are with me at home. We pulled them from the school they were at, and I am looking for another program. I am still learning my way around, but missing my family, friends and hubby! There you have the cliff notes of my past weeks.

We are off on a fam vay-cay next week for the boys bday. They have no idea that we are taking them to Disney World etc. They are gonna freak, and well we all need that fam time, and laughing together!!

More to come when I am not rushed!

OH BY THE WAY..BECOME A FOLLOWER...CHECK IT OUT TO THE RIGHT OF THE PAGE :)

Things going swimmingy!

So the boys have been in school, counting today, for three days. The first day, Wednesday, was a bit rough for Cade (as I knew it would be), but fine for Ty. Cade is my spirited child who is a bit slow to adapt, and very senstive. As far as his strong qualities go, he is persistant, zestful, assertive, perceptive, and very passionate. With that in mind, you can just imagine what his teachers are in for. As for Ty, he made friends. He can't tell me their names just yet, but it's a boy who is "a tall 5" and a pretty girl who has "dark hair and brown eye's" like him. He will fit right in and be teacher's pet for sure. Cade is a man of few words, but I know his day was fine because I get a report home daily.
Today we walked in just fine. I have been droping off Ty first since it is my "easy drop off" and then walk down the hall for Cade. Mr. Potato head was waiting for Cade at his seat. Yesterday was play dough...Cade's other love (besides his trains). The children have to sit in their seats until all kids are in and they begin school. That is a bit challenging for him...he is very energetic! Ty on the other hand...well what can I say he rocks! He is so adaptable and flexible. Those are his strong qualities. He is going to be 5 next month going on 15. He is my big helper. Love my boys!! They are night and day...always keeping me on my toes. I'm not gonna lie to you, it is the hardest job that I have ever had, but it has made me a stronger person!
Today after school we head back up to the mountains. It is my father-in-laws bday, so we are gonna hang out up there. Jason will meet us up there this weekend.
I found a gym, so I will start next week, with possible subbing opps for yoga. Can't take on full time since my stay here is temporary!
Well, off to pack and get ready to go. Gotta get some time in to read my book..oh so juicy! I am reading Twilight, and wow! I have had a hard time putting it down. I am half way through...I am hoping to finish it this weekend since Jason can deal with boys...hehe!
I'll let you know what fun things trasnspire this weekend :)

Living in the South-ish...

So my friends we are finally settled in! We are now in N. Augusta, SC. The house we are renting for the next 5 months is great! The boys share a room and we have a play room for them as well. We were lucky to find a fully furnished place here since our stuff is still in storage. It was a wonderful change to wake up to a yard full of snow. The boys were really excited!! Oliver was not that thrilled! I took some pics...I'll post later...
Jason is back in Columbus and will be coming on the weekends...bummer. He moves here for good in March, and we will stay put until June...whew! What a world wind!
I am comfy for now, and the good news is the boys start school tomorrow. I was able to find spots for them at a preschool 5 days a week half days. The system is really weird here, so I am excited. I looked at 4 schools and liked this one second best. The one I really liked only have 2 days for Cade and 5 for Ty...wanted to keep them together, and everyday...Cade was ready to begin the moment he walked in the door...tomorrow is not coming fast enough for him (truth be told I can't wait myself-I have not had a break since we left Texas at the beginning of the month.
Stay tuned as I learn my way around this place...adventures behind every door!

BRRRRR it's cold!!

So I woke up freezing my touche off this morning...20 degrees! SERIOUSLY not used this being from TX and all! This mini vaca has been great! We are all set to move into a house in Augusta GA on Friday. I will be getting the boys back in school, and getting back to a routine. Jason jooins us on the weekends as he will not report there until March 9th. SO anyone that wants to come visit this neck of the woods, we have a 4 bedroom hizzle...but you have to do it before June 8th cause' that's when Jas graduates. We received orders and will be report to Hawaii July 9th. I was told the Oliver has to begin the process 90 days out to ship overseas. I have to have a microchip put in him, and a few other vaccines that I will be getting a list of...geez!
So more to come and updates as they occur!
Love to all!
